Midshipman Kyle Dupuis of Lewiston was recently named to the commandant’s list at Maine Maritime Academy in Castine in recognition of regimental excellence during the 2005-2006 academic year.

Capt. Jeff Loustaunau, commandant of midshipmen, presented the awards to members of the Regiment of Midshipmen based on exemplary performance and conduct throughout the year. Recipients must be actively involved in activities of the regiment and participate in community service or volunteer projects.

Dupuis, a member of the class of 2009, is majoring in marine transportation operations. He is a graduate of Lewiston High School.
