PORTLAND (AP) – Zach Borowiak’s RBI double plated the winning run as the Portland Sea Dogs edged the Bowie Baysox 4-3 Friday in the Eastern League.

Leo Daigle homered in Bowie’s loss.

The Baysox (12-9) grabbed an early 1-0 lead when Daigle blasted the first pitch he saw high off the left-field scoreboard.

Leadoff doubles helped the Sea Dogs (11-10) score a run apiece in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. David Murphy and Chad Spann knocked solid doubles; David Bacani’s came on a routine fly ball that was misjudged by right-fielder Tony Alvarez.

The Baysox tied it in the seventh when they capitalized on two singles, a walk, sacrifice and groundout.

Alberto Concepcion walked to lead off the bottom of the seventh, advanced on Keoni De Renne’s sacrifice bunt and scampered home on Borowiak’s drive off the left-field wall.
