JAY – Ryan Bourassa had two hits, including a grand slam in the fifth to end the game on a 10-run rule as Jay cruised past Lisbon 14-3 in varsity baseball action.

Mike Holland hit a two-run double and finished with three RBIs for the Tigers (5-0). Zane Armandi went the distance for Jay to pick up the win. Catcher Nick Bourassa added a pair of hits, while Steve Nelson had a triple and single.

Matt Hathaway and Andy Ouellette each had a double for Lisbon (3-2).

Mt. Blue 6, Cony 3

AUGUSTA – Steve Wells had two hits and a pair of RBIs as Mt. Blue outlasted Cony 6-3 in a KVAC baseball tilt.

Joe Gilbert had two hits, including a double, and Bobby Duley had two more as the Cougars (3-2) pounded out 12 hits. Ryan Given pitched the complete game to pick up his third win of the season.

Joe Lajoie and Derek Arnold each had two hits for Cony (0-5).

Telstar 10, Boothbay 8

BETHEL – Telstar rang up eight runs in the bottom of the second inning and held on to edge Boothbay 10-8 in MVC baseball.

Steven Scotti hit a bases-loaded double to start the scoring outburst with a pair of RBIs. Mike Fleet (1-0) pitched four innings for the win, and Ryan Kimball pitched the seventh for his first save for Telstar (1-2).

Ian Hersom had three hits and three RBIs for the Seahawks (1-2). Eric Rego added three more hits and a pair of RBIs.

Leavitt 11, Morse 1

TURNER – Justin Rouillard had three of Leavitt’s 13 hits as the Hornets swarmed Morse 11-1 for their first win of the season.

Chris Brewer had a pair of hits and drove home three runs, while Rouillard had two RBIs. Evan Barker had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs. Tim Doyle pitched four innings for the win for Leavitt (1-4).

Riley Walker had two hits and a double for the Shipbuilders (3-2). Devon Hook was tagged with his first loss of the season.

Mtn. Valley 7, Georges Valley 1

RUMFORD – Mountain Valley starting pitcher Matt Laubauskas struck out 11 batters in four innings and had two hits and two RBIs at the plate to lead Mountain Valley to a 7-1 win against Georges Valley.

Corey Devoe had two hits, including a double for the Falcons (3-0), while Chris Cayer also had two hits.

Jack Hall and Steve Rannei each doubled for Georges Valley (0-3).

Oak Hill 5, Belfast 0

WALES – Josh Jillson struck out 15 batters, yielding two hits and two walks in seven shutout innings as Oak Hill blanked Belfast 5-0.

Jillson also had a pair of hits and an RBI, and scored a run on an RBI double by Devon Eaton in the top of the fifth inning for the Raiders (2-2).

Jake Arthurs took the loss for the winless Lions (0-4).

Winthrop 15, Mt. Abram 2

SALEM – Pitcher Forest Quiyer surrendered two runs on six hits and had a home run and a triple for three RBIs to lead Winthrop to a 15-2 victory over Mt. Abram.

Catcher Tavis Hasenfus also had a home run and a triple with four RBIs for the Ramblers (2-1).

Aaron Adams and Brandon Wheeler each had two hits for Mt. Abram (2-2).

Buckfield sweeps Greenville

BUCKFIELD – Justin Dodge scored the winning run in Buckfield’s come-from-behind win in the first game of Buckfield’s doubleheader with Greenville. Dodge then earned the win on the mound in the second game as the Bucks took two from their EWC rivals to remain unbeaten (4-0).

Joe Jardine pitched six shutout innings in the first game, but tired in the bottom of the seventh with a 2-0 lead and gave up an RBI single to Dodge and a two-run double Jaime Henderson. Matt Lowell came on in relief in the sixth to pick up his first win of the season.

Dodge and Lowell combined on a two-hit shutout in the second game, a 6-0 Buckfield victory. Dodge added two hits and a pair of RBIs, and Cy Wilkinson also added two hits and two RBIs.

John Muzzy and Kevin Lebel each had two hits in the opening game for the Lakers (1-3).

Brunswick 3, Lewiston 1

LEWISTON – Steve May allowed one run on four hits and went 3-for-3 with an RBI at the plate to lead Brunswick to a 3-1 victory over Lewiston.

In the third inning, May scored on a suicide squeeze by Duncan Lowe. Jeff Sickle hit an RBI single in the fourth that brought home Josh Clark, then May singled home Sickle for Brunswick’s (3-2) third run.

Robbie Leeman had two hits and scored the lone run for Lewiston (2-3).

Lacrosse
St. Dom’s 17, Fryeburg 0

AUBURN – Tavian MacKinnon scored a game-high six goals and added three assists as St. Dom’s routed Fryeburg 17-0 in boys’ lacrosse action Friday.

Cam Mckee netted three goals and had five assists, while Andrew Gilbert and Ben Landry each had a pair of goals for the Saints (1-0). The Saints scored 12 goals in the first half.

Hebron 14, Kents Hill 1

HEBRON – Roman Gosney executed a double hat trick to power Hebron to a 14-1 victory over Kents Hill.

Hebron (7-2) jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the first quarter and never let up. Greg Harrington assisted on an impressive seven goals.

Cody Southiere scored the lone goal for Kents Hill (3-5-1) in the final quarter.
