LEWISTON – Slots remain for the Maine Spring Table Tennis Open to be held Saturday, May 6. The event will take place at the Multi-Purpose Center gymnasium from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

This is a “2” star tournament sponsored by the MPC Maine Table Tennis League, STIGA, and the Table Tennis Pioneers of Canada. The tourney is sanctioned by USA Table Tennis.

There will be a total of 11 different divisions, with prize money amounting to over $700 in cash, plus various awards and trophies.

Already registered are players from Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

All ping pong players are eligible for this tourney.

The public is invited to witness the tournament action at no charge.

The Maine Table Tennis League is the only table tennis league in Maine that offers sanctioned tournaments. A total of 11 tables will be set up for tourney play.

Members of the planning committee are Guy Boisse, Rick Shea, Al Landry, Linda Bartolec, Jim Amfilo and Norm Berube.
