Matthew J. Smith was inducted into the Scholastic Business Honor Society, Beta Gamma Sigma, at a ceremony held at Boston College, Carroll School of Management, Chestnut Hill, Mass., on April 30. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in an undergraduate or master’s program.

Smith will receive his MBA in marketing from Boston College on May 22. A graduate of the Hotchkiss School, Lakeville, Conn., and Amherst College, Amherst, Mass., he is the son of Pamela and Bradley Smith of North Bridgton.
