LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club and Classy Lady Boutique joined forces for the second annual Casino Royale at the Ramada Inn recently. Proceeds were divided to benefit the L/A Rotary Club’s Scholarship Fund and Classy Lady Boutique.

Kim Brown, Rotary Club Ways and Means Committee, said, “The 2006 Casino Royale was an even greater success than last year’s and we are quite pleased with the response we received.”

Classy Lady President Roxanne Salatino Gorham said, “In addition to serving as Classy Lady’s president, I have also been involved in Rotary for several years. I would like to extend my gratitude to the L/A Rotary Club for partnering with us in this event, and to the many generous people within our community who contributed to its success. Again this year, L/A Rotary will be able to award its many scholarships, and Classy Lady will be able to help women get into the workforce.”

The L/A Rotary Club helps Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Polio Plus Foundation, the Good Shepherd Food Bank and Camp Susan Curtis as well as offering six $1,000 scholarships to local high school students as they pursue a higher education.

Classy Lady Boutique serves women entering or re-entering the workforce by helping them gain the skills and confidence they need to succeed. In addition, they provide their clients with gently used clothing at a discounted price.
