NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) – Luis Jimenez had three hits and drove in four runs Saturday to lead the Portland Sea Dogs to a 9-5 win over the New Britain Rock Cats for their third straight Eastern League victory.

Jimenez, who hit 16 homers and drove in 69 runs for New Britain last year, had two doubles and a single for Portland (17-11), which has won seven of its last eight.

Brandon Moss, who is 5-for-8 in the series, had two doubles, three RBIs and drove in a run in the eighth to break a 5-5 tie against Rock Cats reliever Julio DePaula (0-1).

David Murphy had a double and two singles.

Jonathan Searles (1-1) pitched three scoreless innings in relief for Portland.

Trent Oeltjen had a triple, two singles and two RBIs for the Rock Cats (10-15). Alex Romero had three hits.
