POLAND – The wedding of Kellie Anna Pelletier and James Scherzer was held at 2 p.m. on Feb. 25 at the Poland Library in Poland. Sandra Greaton, mother of the bride and notary, and retired minister Paul Scherzer, father of the bridegroom, officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Sandra Greaton and her fiancé, Bert St. Amand of Auburn, and Alvey Pelletier and his wife, Carrie Pelletier of Norway. The bridegroom is the son of Paul and Julia Scherzer of Bowdoinham.

The bride wore a tea-length dress in white with pink brocade with matching pink sweater and shoes. She carried a bouquet of pink and white roses with baby’s breath, made by her mother.

A reception followed at the Poland Library.

The bride is a 1990 graduate of Mt. Ararat High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of Southern Maine. She is also a graduate student at the University of Southern Maine and is a special education teacher.

The bridegroom is a 1986 graduate of Mt. Ararat High School and is a stage hand.
