RUMFORD – The Oxford County Democrats will meet on Thursday, May 11, at the Eagles Hall for a 5:30 p.m. potluck supper and 6:30 meeting. The Maine Democratic Party chairman, Rep. Ben Dudley of Portland, will be the guest of honor and speaker.

County Chairwoman Cathy Newell will conduct a business meeting, which will include filling vacant delegate slots for the June 2 and 3 convention at the Augusta Civic Center. Any Democrats who missed the February caucus as which delegates were selected and who wish to be attend should contact Newell at 875-2116 prior to May 11.

Other business will include introduction of candidates and reports from the Committee to Re-elect Gov. Baldacci and Congressman Michaud’s campaign office.

Those planning to attend the supper are asked to bring a hot dish, salad or dessert.
