AUBURN – Danielle Guerin scored three runs and had two RBIs on two hits to lead St. Dom’s to a 19-11 victory Old Orchard Beach in a WMC softball matchup Tuesday.

Sam Morency contributed for the Saints (4-2) with one hit and one RBI. Jenn Cullen allowed just six hits in seven innings of work to notch the win.

The Seagulls (2-6) were paced by Katie Collard with two hits and one RBI. Toni Lambert handled pitching duties and was credited with the loss.

Leavitt 4, Mt. Ararat 1

TOPSHAM – Heidi Swett smacked an RBI triple in the first as Leavitt topped Mt. Ararat 4-1 in a KVAC softball match-up Tuesday.

The Hornets (5-4) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first, with the first three batters reaching base. They tallied two insurance runs in the fourth to capture the victory. Jess Palladino added a pair of hits for the win.

The lone Mt. Ararat (3-6) run was scored on an error by the Hornets. Jamie Brown had a triple for the effort.

Sacopee Valley 2, Fryeburg 0

FRYEBURG – Michelle Libby struck out nine batters and got good support at the plate Tuesday to lead Sacopee Valley to a 2-0 victory over Fryeburg in a WMC softball matchup.

The undefeated Hawks (6-0) put both runs on the board in the seventh after six deadlocked frames. Both squads were tough defensively for much of the contest.

Hannah Hill controlled the mound for the Raiders (4-6) and was saddled with the loss. Hill recorded 13 strikeouts on the day.

Lacrosse

Edward Little 9, Lincoln Academy 8

NEWCASTLE – Bre Wing, Brittney French, and Beth Esponnette each tallied a pair of goals as Edward Little topped Lincoln Academy by a 9-8 score Tuesday in KVAC lacrosse action.

Karen Leary, Katelyn Perkins, and Liv Welch each added goals to the Eddies win, who never gave up the lead.

Lincoln Academy came from a 6-4 defecit at half to end with eight goals, but couldn’t catch up completely. Christie Hammon netted three goals for Lincoln Academy. Carney Hamilton, Nora Bradford, Carly Williams, Ari Clifford, and Jess Card each chipped in with a goal apiece.

Messalonskee 13, Lewiston 11

OAKLAND – Ashley Eusque scored four goals to lead Messalonskee to a 13-11 win over Lewiston in a KVAC lacrosse match-up Tuesday.

Heather Doolittle and Emily Maltus each chipped in with three goals apiece, while Kiley Jolicouer, Beth Ridley, and Monika Bucklova rounded out the Eagles (6-1) scoring.

The Blue Devils (2-5) were paced by Kelsey Rodrigue with a game-high five goals and one assist. Mallory Long added four, while Amie Daniels and Lea Chouinard added one apiece.
