South Paris – Valda M. Reynolds, 86, formerly of Poland, went to be with the Lord and her family on May 9.

She was born in Lewiston on Feb. 28, 1920, the daughter of Mitchell and Sadie (Taylor) Reynolds.

She had worked for many years at B.E. Cole shoe factory in Norway. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Lewiston, where she participated in numerous church functions. She loved to travel to different places.

She especially liked to go places with the senior citizens in her church family. Loved flowers, and working in her gardens. Loved taking long walks in the woods. She just enjoyed being around people and socializing with them. Her favorite pastime was working on puzzles and placing old black and white photos in albums that she arranged. She liked watching soap operas.

She is survived by two sisters, Doris and her husband Tom Leeman of South Paris, and Elva Reynolds of South Paris, two brothers, Winfield Reynolds of South Paris, and Gordon and his wife Lucy Reynolds of Bangor. Nephews, Gordon and Marlene Leeman of Oxford, and Steve and Nancy Leeman of Lewiston, nieces, Dorothy and Bill Nurmi of Oxford, and Nancy and Irvin Valiente of Poland.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Morris Reynolds, Stanley Reynolds and Maynard Reynolds; two sisters, Arlene Reynolds and Hazel Reynolds; nephew, Peter Leeman; and a niece, Janice Leeman.
