MONMOUTH – Cumston Free Public Library will host its annual May Faire from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Cumston Hall.

The event is sponsored and hosted by Friends of Cumston Library, its fundraising body of volunteers. It benefits programming at the library, books and materials for all age groups and visiting at homes and day cares.

Gingerbread Farms in Wayne will help out with perennials and annuals, herbs and vegetables. Lunch will also be offered, with hot dogs, chili, finger rolls, chips, drinks and desserts available.

The friends are trying to build the home-grown section of the sale, including hardy perennials from people’s gardens.

If a person needs help with dividing plants and/or getting them to the library, a call to Ellen Eldridge at 933-2238 or Nancy Ludewig at 933-4677 will get them the help they need.

The Henry L. Cottrell School will hold a plant sale, art show and community reception for its principal of the year, Deborah Emery, at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 25. People will be able to purchase flowers and vegetable that the students have planted.
