LEWISTON – Eight seconds may not seem like a long time, but imagine that eight seconds strapped to a 2,000-pound raging bull.

The Professional Bull Riders will return to the Colisee Friday and Saturday, June 9 and June 10, courtesy of Frontier Rodeo Co.

The Professional Bull Riders understand the hazards, but a chance to win part of a $20,000 payday lures them. Points earned at PBR Lewiston Invitational count toward the PBR qualifier standings that determine which athletes will compete at the 2006 Professional Bull Riders Tour Finals in Las Vegas, Nev.

The country’s top bull man, Jerry Nelson, will supply livestock for the PBR Lewiston Invitational. Nelson recently received the prestigious honor as the owner of the 2005 PBR World Champion Bull, Big Bucks. Big Bucks was overwhelmingly voted top bull by the world’s top 45 bull riders.

Nelson’s Frontier Rodeo Co. was also honored as one of the top livestock contractors in the country.

Tickets – $30, $20 and $15 – are on sale at the Colisee box office, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. They may also be charged by phone at 1-877-GO-TIX-GO or visit www.thecolisee.com
