FARMINGTON – The Healthy Community Coalition will sponsor a series of free health screenings at local banks. The first will be from 9 to 11 a.m. today at TD Banknorth in the Mt. Blue Shopping Center. One will also be held from noon to 2 p.m. today at Otis Credit Union in Jay.
Free heel bone density screenings will also be offered. No appointment is needed. A free gift will be given to every woman who schedules an appointment for a mammogram during the events and/or enrolls in the Maine Breast and Cervical Health Program.
Other screenings will take place at the following times and places:
Wilton: Key Bank, noon to 2 p.m. May 17.
Phillips: United Kingfield Bank, 9 to 11 a.m. May 19.
Rangeley: Franklin Savings Bank, noon to 2 p.m. May 19.
Farmington: Bangor Savings Bank, Mt. Blue Shopping Center, 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, May 22.
Livermore Falls: Androscoggin Bank, 9 to 11 a.m. May 25.
Kingfield: Franklin Somerset Federal Credit Union, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 25.
