NORWAY – Bruce Rood, chairman of the Western Maine Health board, presented three outgoing members with lamps honoring their nine years of service to the board recently.
Dr. Donald Ware, Mary Ann Brown and David Dow were recognized for their long-term work and commitment. Brown thanked the board and Western Maine Health for the opportunity to serve.
Ware remarked on the changes he has seen at the hospital during his employment and said the board maintains a heavy responsibility as the health system continues to mature. Dow stated that his experience had been wonderful, and that he was “optimistic about the direction” the WMH system is headed.
Outgoing Board Chairman Bruce Rood was also honored with a chair as a thank-you for his eight-year tenure on the board, with the past two years spent as chairman. Incoming Board Chairman Donald Mayberry presented Rood with his chair and thanked him for his service as chairman. Rood thanked the group “for allowing me to serve with you and for you.”
