BIDDEFORD – Andree Martin, named one of Golf for Women magazine’s top 50 instructors the past three years, is coming back home to head up the Southern Maine Women’s Golf Association’s first annual Golf Clinic for Women on June 26.

The clinic will involve one in the morning and one in the afternoon at Biddeford-Saco Country Club. The clinic is open to all females.

Martin began her career in SMWGA events. She went on to play for the University of South Florida, before beginning her career as a golf instructor. She resides in North Carolina.

A number of PGA and LPGA pros are donating their services for the day. They include Anne McClure, Alyssa McIntyre, Holly Anderson, Lisa Jensen, Abby Spector, and Tim Angis.

Cost of the clinic is $100 for adults, $75 for girls under 18. Proceeds will benefit the SMWGA Scholarship Fund.

Wilson Lake

WILTON – The Courteau Memorial Member-Member Tournament is set for May 21. Register in the Pro Shop by noon on Friday, May 19. There are no handicap restrictions.

Open House will be observed Saturday, June 3 starting at 12 noon. There will be free golf for non-members, along with a light lunch at no charge.
