AUBURN – Therese J. Ouellette, 78, of 20 Great Falls Plaza, Auburn, and formerly of Lewiston, died early Thursday morning, May 18, at the Androscoggin Hospice House, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her three loving sisters.

She was born in Madawaska on Oct. 24, 1927, the daughter of Hubald and Yvonne (Pelletier) Guimond and had been a resident of this community for most of her life.

She was married to Leon Ouellette on Nov. 23, 1946, and he died on Aug. 2, 1983.

Therese was employed at Chabot and Hatchey Dry Cleaners for many years, ironing wedding gowns until her retirement. She was a parishioner of St. Louis Church.

She is survived by six sisters, Fernande Giguere of Auburn, Bertrande Hudjkins of Lewiston, Marie Ange Mathon of Auburn, Frances Adams of Auburn, Florence Roy of Hudson, Fla., and Lorraine Rivard of Tuscon, Ariz.; and two brothers, Bertrand Guimond of Lewiston and Roger Guimond of Tioga Center, N.Y.
