ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The Society for Human Resource Management has awarded the Merit Chapter designation to the Central Maine Human Resource Association of Lewiston/Auburn, Maine for its scope of work in perpetuating and supporting the mission of the organization in 2005.
The society is the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management. Representing more than 200,000 individual members, the society’s mission is both to serve the needs of human resource professionals and to advance the human resources profession.
The Central Maine Human Resource Association is one of 10 chapters receiving the distinction in the society’s Northeast Region comprised of 11 states and 94 affiliated chapters.
The 2005-2007 board members are Jackie Little, president; Heidi Jacques, vice president; Heather Banester Bassett, secretary; and Kelly Scammon, treasurer.
