LISBON – The Northeast Organic Farming Association;s Organic Land Care Program announces the accreditation of Richard Spiro of Lisbon as an organic land care professional.

NOFA is a non-profit membership organization of farmers, gardeners, land care professionals and others interested in an organic approach to man’s relationship with the Earth.

Accredited professionals have agreed to provide services according to the NOFA Standards for Organic Land Care for customers who ask for organic. Each accredited professional has completed the five-day NOFA course in organic land care and passed an examination demonstrating their understanding of organic principles and practices. To remain accredited, professionals must complete four hours of continuing education in organic land care each year.
