Memorial parade

LITCHFIELD – William R. Bold 181 Post, American Legion, and Auxiliary will conduct Memorial Day activities on Monday, May 29. A parade will begin at 9 a.m., going from the Central Firehouse to the monument area at Litchfield Plains Cemetery followed by memorial activities and awards presentations. The keynote speaker will be George Thomson, Col. USAF Retired. A covered wagon will be available for those veterans unable to walk.

DAR meeting

NEW GLOUCESTER – The June meeting of Mary Dillingham Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will be held at 11 a.m. Flag Day, June 14, at Opportunity Farm. The guest speaker on “Women’s Health and Nutrition” will be Anne Hall. Bring a bag lunch. All prospective members are welcome. Call Bev Robbins at 577-0706 for more information.

Bike show set

AUBURN – United Bikers of Maine, Androscoggin County, will hold a bike show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 10, in the Wal-Mart parking lot. Entry fee is $5 a bike and voting ballots are $1 each.

Proceeds from the show and barbecue will benefit the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital/Children’s Miracle Network.
