LEWISTON – The L.A. Ballers won the State of Maine AAU (13 and under) championship for the second straight year with a 63-51 victory over Maine Hoops. The win entitles the team to participate in the national tournament in Memphis, Tenn., beginning June 26.
Fund raising is underway for the trip, and L.A. Ballers invites the community to contribute. All donations are greatly appreciated. Checks are payable to L.A. Ballers and may be mailed to Kristin Chicoine, 7 Nancy St., Lewiston, Maine 04240. For more information, please call (207) 786-3823. All donations are tax deductible.
In addition, deposits of returnable bottles may be made to the L.A. Ballers’ accounts at Rooper’s locations on Sabattus Street, Lewiston, and Minot Avenue, Auburn.
