BRUNSWICK – Members of the Senior Choir of First Parish Church, under the direction of Ray Cornils, will perform a concert of American music of faith and praise, highlighting composers of Maine and New England Sunday, June 11, at the church. The choir will be accompanied by Julia Morris-Myers of Camden. The at 4 p.m. concert is a warm-up for the choir’s tour of Ireland and Wales in mid-June.
The program features music of the Shaker community arranged by composer Kevin Siegfried of Kittery; a setting of “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing” arranged by Bowdoin College music professor Robert Greenlee; and three joyous anthems by Vermont composer Gwyneth Walker. American spirituals and songs of discipleship round out the program.
