AUBURN – Irene E. Huston, 87, of 572 Lisbon St., Lisbon Falls, died Saturday, May 27, at the Hospice House with her family by her side.

She was born in Lewiston, Nov. 1, 1918, a daughter of Duncan and Edna Bowie Pike. She graduated from Lisbon Falls High School. She was married to Walter Atwood Huston who died in October 1995.

She was a member of the Jaycee’s Wives Association, Republican Committee, Maine State Mothers Committee, and was a Girl Scout Leader.

She enjoyed reading and working in her ceramic shop.

She loved spending time with her family, cat (Bootsie), and enjoyed spending time at her summer home in South Harpswell.

She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her daughters, Irene V. Lubee and husband, Buddy, of Topsham, Beverly A. Wagner and husband, Chuck, of Lisbon Falls; four grandchildren and spouses, Jerry and Lillianna Lacasse, Randy and Terry Lacasse, Elizabeth and Kevin Coughlin, Amy Wagner and fiance, Nick Lorenzen; six great-grandchildren, Cooper and Stephanie Lacasse, Kendra and Brandon Lacasse, Kayla and Jazmine Coughlin.
