Car hop set

LISBON FALLS – The third annual Alex Pulk Car Hop to benefit Kayne Lavallee will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 3, at Lisbon High School. There will be a $3 donation a person at the gate.

In addition to the “Cool Cars for a Good Cause,” there will be a car raffle, silent auction, 50/50, food and drinks, bake sale, games and Lisbon’s own UMaine hockey star, Greg Moore, who will provide a “slap shot” demonstration.

Space available

NEW GLOUCESTER – Sabbathday Lake Grange will have a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at the Grange Hall, Sabbathday Road. There will also be chicken pies (while supply lasts), baked goods, raffles and cutlery. Spaces to rent are $10. For more information or to reserve a space, call Pam Dyer at 657-4216.

Lavender workshop

NEW GLOUCESTER – A lavender workshop will be held on Saturday, June 17, at Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village, Route 26. Participants will learn how to cultivate lavender, then work on several projects that will show lavender’s use in crafts, cosmetics and culinary ways. Fee is $30 and preregistration is required.

A chair-caning workshop will take place on Saturday, June 24, The seven-step method of chair caning will be taught. It will be restricted to hand-woven chairs. Supplies will be provided. Fee is $30 and preregistration is required.
