BRUNSWICK – “Voices in the Mirror,” an original show written, produced and performed by high-school actors will open at The Theater Project Friday, June 16, and play through Sunday, June 18. This is the 10th annual production of “Voices in the Mirror” at the theater at 14 School St.

“Voices,” developed by a group of energetic teens from Brunswick, Topsham and Freeport, is a collection of short theater pieces that reflect a teenager’s view of the world. Topics range from peer pressure, dating and grades to politics and gender issues.

The cast develops the play using theater games and improvisational techniques, taking an honest and intelligent look at the world around them, but always finding humor in every situation.

Overseeing the production is professional actor, director and teacher Wendy Poole. “I am always amazed at what they come up with,” said Poole. “They are really funny!”

“Voices,” uses no set, costume or props, and the show is recommended for teenagers and adults.

Shows are at 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 16, and Saturday, June 17; and at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 18.

All tickets are pay what you want, with a suggested price of $10. For reservations, call The Theater Project box office at 729-8584.
