LEWISTON – Lewiston High School Alumni Foundation President Sharon K. Martel announced the scholarship recipients for the senior class during graduation on June 9.

Nicole Bussiere was awarded a $6,000 scholarship in memory of Donald Roux and donated by David Roux. Bussiere will attend the University of New Hampshire majoring in biology.

Brandon Dubois was also awarded a $6,000 and will be attending Maine Maritime Academy majoring in Engineering. The scholarship was in memory of Donald Roux and donated by David Roux.

Krystal Carmichael was awarded a $1,500 scholarship in memory of William Carrigan and donated by Beulah Carrigan Crosby. Carmichael will attend the University of Maine majoring in international relations.

Rebekah Choate received a $1,500 scholarship. She will attend American University majoring in international studies. The scholarship is in memory of Anthony Karahalios and funds were donated by family and friends

Matthew Cyr was awarded a $1,500 scholarship made in memory of Joseph Deschenes and donated by David Roux. Cyr will attend Bryant University majoring in international business.

Bethany Flannery was awarded $1,500, and she will be attending the University of Southern Maine with an undecided major at this time.

Alissa Groleau was presented $1,500, and she will attend New Hampshire Institute of Art majoring in photography. The scholarship is in memory of Shantelle Elise Dube (class of 2006) and donated by the listeners of Positive 89.3.

Marissa Iadevaia Jalbert received a $1,500 scholarship. She will attend Southern Connecticut State University majoring in library science and design and technical theater. The scholarship was made in memory of Beulah Carrigan and donated by Beulah Carrigan Crosby.

Andrea Lama was awarded a $1,500 scholarship was dedicated to and donated by Shawn Butler. Lama will attend the University of Connecticut majoring in economics.

Malory Long was awarded $1,500. She will be attending the University of New England majoring in occupational therapy. The scholarship was dedicated to and donated by “A Friend.”

Laura Martel received a $1,500 scholarship. She will attend the University of Maine Orono majoring in kinesiology and physical education.

James Morin was awarded $1,500 and will be attending the University of Maine Orono majoring in biology and pre-med. The scholarship was in memory of Charles Cosgrove and donated by family and friends.

Kathryn Nadeau received a $1,500 scholarship, given in memory of James Larouche and donated by Adam and Sherri Barr. Nadeau will attend Wilkes University majoring in pre-vet.

Luke Potter was awarded $1,500 and will be attending Bowdoin College with an undecided major at this time.

Rebecca Roy was presented $1,500 and will be attending the University of Connecticut majoring in pharmacy. The scholarship was in memory of James Roux and donated by David Roux.
