NORWAY – Stephens Volunteer Services at Stephens Memorial Hospital announced recently that June Dragoon is exhibiting at the hospital for six weeks. Her paintings are on display in the hallways of the medical/surgical department and the laboratory.
Basically a self-taught artist, Dragoon lives in Peru. Surrounded by family and the countryside she has endless subject matter. Her passion is watercolors, of which she said, “Painting gives me a new way of looking at the world. Beyond capturing a likeness, my goal in painting is the render emotion.”
She has received a variety of awards for her art work and exhibits in many galleries in the area. All paintings exhibited at the hospital are available for purchase.
Stephens Volunteer Services works with local artists and artisans to provide year-round exhibition at the hospital.
