Portland boxer loses

PORTLAND – Portland Boxing Club’s Lisa Kuronya lost on points to five-time Canadian national champ Mary Spencer of Winsor, Ontario.

Spencer won the Pan American Games for the second straight year and is also the defending world champ.

Kuronya will compete in the National Golden Gloves Championship to be held in July in Florida.

Grid clinic planned

WATERVILLE – Several members of the New England Patriots, including Ty Warren, will be assisting with the 2006 Central Maine Youth Football Clinic set for June 23-25 at Drummond Field. Cost is $25 pr day. The schedule: June 23, 5-7 p.m.; June 24, 9-11 a.m., 1-4 p.m.; June 25, 9-11 a.m.
