RUMFORD – The River Valley Technology Center, the Growth Council and Chamber of Commerce are presenting a seminar on advertising from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, at the River Valley Technology Center, 60 Lowell St.

The seminar focuses on the development of local and regional advertising and promotional opportunities through radio, newspapers, cable TV, conventional TV and other means.

The seminar will include presenters from newspaper, radio and television: Vic Hodgkins is station manager of the Gleason Radio Group; Steve Costello, VP of advertising and marketing from the Sun Journal, and Yvonne Allen, the newspaper’s River Valley account representative; Christine Durgin, account executive for Adelphia Media Services, a division of Adelphia Communications Corp.

The cost is $10 and includes lunch. River Valley Chamber of Commerce members pay $8. Pre-payment is required; there will be no refunds. Pre-registration is required by calling Beverly at 369-0396 or email beverly@rvgc.org by July 17.
