LEWISTON – The Lewiston Municipal Federal Credit Union recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new addition at 291 Pine St.
The expansion will nearly double the size of the credit union building to improve delivery of services to members.
Lewiston Municipal Federal Credit Union was chartered in 1944 to serve city employees and their families. The credit union has grown from its first year with $738 in assets and 102 members to nearly $14 million in assets and more than 2,300 members.
The credit union moved from a small office in City Hall to 291 Pine St. in 1988.
