BRUNSWICK – Al Miller, founder and artistic director of The Theater Project, has decided to focus on the underworld of hobbits and their friends and foes in this summer’s International Teen Theater Camp at The Theater Project.
The camp began July 24 and runs through Aug. 12. It includes three performances on Aug. 10, 11 and 12. Students from 13 to 18 years old are eligible for the camp.
This will be the theater’s third performance of “The Hobbit.” The first was more than 25 years ago. “It’s such an exciting story and a great match for energetic young actors. It’s also a good play for your first time on stage as a teenager,” said Miller.
The International Teen Theater Camp runs 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday until Aug. 4, with an altered schedule for the final week, Aug. 7-12, due to the shows.
No previous acting experience is necessary for The International Teen Camp. For information, call 729-8584.
