WATERVILLE – Pastor J. Arthur Mott of Richfield, Pa., formerly of Farmington, will minister in song at the Getchell Street United Baptist Church, 3 Getchell St., at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12.

Mott is the pastor of Niemonds Independent Church in Richfield, where he has served for eight years. He has led the historic rural church from an average attendance of 55 to an average attendance of 200, which has resulted in the building of a larger church dedicated in June.

Mott spent the first 20 years of his ministry in fractured, split and hurting churches, striving to bring healing and stability. He is an accomplished speaker and gospel soloist.

Mott graduated from Northeastern Bible College in Essex Falls, N.J., with a bachelor of arts degree in Bible and pastoral theology. He also received a master of arts degree from Baptist Bible College in Clark Summit, Pa. While in college, Mott received two years of voice training, was a member of two singing groups and did solo ministry. He gives concerts as time permits.

Mott has been married to his wife, Joyce, for 29 years. They have three grown children and two grandchildren with a third on the way.

A free-will offering will be taken. For more information, contact the church at 873-6047.
