LIVERMORE FALLS – An 18-year-old man was arrested Saturday when police say they found he was carrying 19.8 grams of cocaine.
Police Chief Ernest Steward said he didn’t know the street value of the cocaine but said it seemed to be “pretty pure grade.”
Ryan Jolicoeur of Livermore Falls was a passenger in a car that was pulled over because the driver ran a stop sign. The cocaine was discovered during a consent search, Steward said. The arresting officer also found a “usable amount of marijuana” on Jolicoeur, Steward said.
Jolicoeur was charged with possession of a scheduled drug, a class B crime, for which he could face up to 5 years in prison, possession of marijuana and obstructing government administration.
He was taken to the Androscoggin jail and released on $3,000 bail.
