LEWISTON – Council 106, Knights of Columbus, had its end-of-the-year family supper, recognition and awards night in June. A supper was prepared for the members and their guest and awards and recognition followed the supper.
Grand Knight Joe McGovern presented the Paul Marquis Award to Deputy Grand Knight Richard Mercier.
The award was named after Marquis, who was dedicated to Council 106 and his community. Marquis held many offices in the council. The award is presented each year to a member who has shown the same dedication.
Also receiving an award that evening but not present was Charlie LeBrasseur. He received the Grand Knight Award, presented for dedication and support of the grand knight.
