LEWISTON – The wedding of Kim Marie Gauthier and James Robert Karlis was held at 11 a.m. on June 10 at Holy Cross Church in Lewiston. The Rev. Daniel P. Greenleaf officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Karlis is the daughter of Claude and Joan Gauthier of Lewiston. Mr. Karlis is the son of James and Paula Karlis of Pelham, N.H.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an Italian satin gown with halter neckline embellished with bugle beads and Austrian crystals and a cinch waistline with A-line skirt and chapel train. She carried a bouquet of lavender and yellow roses and white spider mums.

The best friend of the bride, Angela Moore, was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Gale Hemingway and Vicky Lacombe, friends of the bride. Abby and Annie Karlis, nieces of the bridegroom, were flower girls.

Andrew Karlis performed the duties of best man for his brother, and ushers were Ronald Strout, best friend of the bridegroom, and Gregory Karlis, brother of the bridegroom.

A reception followed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn, after which the couple traveled to Jamaica. They are residing in Buxton.

The bride is a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Radiologic Technology and is employed as a mammographer/x-ray technologist at Mercy Hospital.

The bridegroom is a graduate of New Hampshire Technical College in Nashua, N.H., and is employed as a mechanic at UPS in South Portland.
