LEWISTON – Valda B. “Nana” Levesque, 97, of Auburn, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 5, at Ouellette’s Adult Foster Home.

Born in Dover, N.J. on May 22, 1909, she was the daughter of Xavier and Roseanna Boisvert Ruel.

She was educated in N.J. schools, and got her Certificate in Nursing from the Dallard School of Nursing on March 1, 1945, as an LPN. She also worked as a nanny, and a private nurse in N.Y. She married Leo Levesque on August 30, 1952; he passed away in 1973.

Her hobbies included knitting, sewing, and sharing fond memories with family and friends. Survivors include a brother, Edmund Boisvert; four stepsons, Roger Levesque and his companion, Lillian, of Fla., Raymond and Dorothy Levesque of Lewiston, Marcel and Theresa of Ill., and Richard and Gweyn of Lewiston; 10 grandchildren, Rita, Bertrand, Raymond, Janet, Michael, Julie, Toby, John, Maria, and Michael; 25 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her parents; her husband; four brothers, Leo, Arthur, Robert, and Claude; and four sisters, Agnes, Camelia, Alma, and Laura. Many thanks to Ron, Donna, Mary, and Kathy at Ouellette’s Adult Foster Home for all their loving care, and for making her part of your family.
