LEWISTON – Marie R. Langlais, 75, of Oak Park in Lewiston, died Thursday evening, Aug. 10, at her residence, following a long illness.

She was born in Green River, New Brunswick, on Sept. 4, 1930, the daughter of Zephren and Ida (Levasseur) Thibodeau and had been a resident of this community most of her life.

She was employed as a nurses’ aide at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for many years, until her retirement.

Marie enjoyed very much her time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a parishioner of Saints Peter and Paul Church.

She is survived by her husband, Willard Langlais, whom she married on Oct. 15, 1966, of Lewiston; four sons, Edward Tardif and his wife, Diane, of Sabattus, Phil Tardif and his wife, Lydia, of Corpus Christie, Texas, Daniel Tardif and his wife, Linda, of Sabattus, and Gary Langlais and his companion, Anita Dionne, of Sabattus; four daughters, Rachel Clevenger and her husband, John, of Lewiston, Brenda Chouinard and her husband, Marc, of Auburn, Judy Thongsavanh and her husband, Thoune, of Auburn, and Rena Tardif of Lewiston; one brother, Clarence Thibodeau of Van Buren; one sister, Geraldine Martin and her husband, Romeo, of Connecticut; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
