LAHORE, Pakistan – The wedding Jane McLamb and Noman Ahmad was held at 3 p.m. on Jan. 28 in Pakistan. Maulvi Manzoor Hussain, Islamic scholar, officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Ruth and John Decker of Rumford. The bridegroom is the son of Qamar and Dr. Qamar Uddin Ahmad of Multan, Pakistan.

The bride wore a green shalwar kamneez outfit with matching scarf used as a veil. A wedding dinner was held on Jan. 29 in Pakistan. A wedding will also be performed in Rumford, with friends and family.

Nance Duguay, friend was maid of honor, and best man was Rana Faheem.

The couple is residing in Rumford with their son, Brandon McLamb Noman, age 16.

The bride received an associate degree in art and is attending school for her bachelor’s degree in social sciences. She is working with children at the Children Progress Center in Norway and John F. Murphy Homes in Auburn, and is working with her husband at the family business between the U.S. and Pakistan.

The bridegroom owns a computer business and plans to operate the family business, with his wife, between the U.S. and Pakistan.
