ROCHESTER, N.H. (AP) – A local man wanted for burglary in Maine has been charged with being a fugitive from justice.

State police stopped Lee Murray, 42, early Sunday after observing his vehicle lacked a valid inspection sticker. A check of his license led to the discovery that he was wanted by the York County Sheriff’s Department in Maine.

An 18-year-old passenger in the car, Ryan Cortina of Rochester, was charged with possession of a controlled drug. He was released and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 4.

Murray is due to appear in court Monday.
