LEWISTON – Robert Armand Grandmaison, 68, passed away peacefully on Aug. 14, with family at his side.

He was born Sept. 15, 1937, to Annette (Chamberland) and Willie Grandmaison in Lewiston. Bob was a lifetime resident of Lewiston who worked in shoe shops and later as janitor and gardener for Holy Family Church and Holy Cross School on Sabattus Street.

He enjoyed traveling, singing with his friends and making people laugh. He was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus, treasurer of Les-Indians Snowshoe Club, past president of the Lewiston Senior Citizens, past president of the Meadowview Tenants Counsel, associate member of Franco American War Vets Post 31, a member of the Sabattus Senior Citizens Club, a member of the “Just Us” singing group which was very dear to his heart, and he worked many years for the Franco American Festival.

He leaves behind his sister, Sister Madeleine Grandmaison in the Order of St. Joseph Nuns, from Bingham; his brother, Bertrand Grandmaison and wife, Claudette, of Lewiston, with whom he resided; his brother, Fern Grandmaison and wife, Linda, of Greene; his sister, Pauline Mandigo and husband, Dale, of Dennisport, Mass.; also 11 nieces and nephews; and four great-great-nieces and nephews.
