Dear Sun Spots: I am writing to find out if others have had the following problem I have.

In the past, I was purchasing BJ’s prepaid phone cards and used them for many years. Last December suddenly the number was discontinued and therefore I could no longer use my cards. I called the club number numerous times but all I get is the runaround. They claim there are many people waiting for the new number as I am. They also claim they cannot locate the company and when they do, they will contact each individual holding their cards for refunds.

If enough people call the club, perhaps we’ll get some action. – No Name, No Town.

Answer:
In addition to responses from readers, Sun Spots called BJ’s, who were unable to assist without knowing which phone company your card was with. They ask that you please call them at 800-257-2582 to discuss the carrier and they’ll be happy to assist you here. A representative said they have several numbers for you to choose from and knowing who the carrier is on the card will help narrow down the choices.
