LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – Kari Lynn Klimaszewski, 48, of Litchfield Park, departed this life on Aug. 18.

She came to Arizona from Maine and was a special education teacher at Aqua Fria High School. Dear to her heart were her many friends throughout the country, her students and co-workers.

She was born in Minneapolis, Minn. on Dec. 18, 1957, and spent most of her childhood in Nebraska. She graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1981. She moved to Houston, Texas, and it was there she met her husband, Steve Klimaszewski. Together they lived in Laredo, Texas, McAllen, Texas and Falmouth.

She earned a second degree from the University of Texas at Pan America. Her passions were educating, travel, golf, skiing and her dogs, (Roxy, Molly and Kelly).

She will be missed by her husband, Steve Klimaszewski; her mother, Ruth Megard of Lincoln, Neb.; her brother, Jay of Denver, Colo.; Steve’s mother, Dottie Klimaszewski of Okemos, Mich.; sisters-in-law, Shellee Buchanan of Media, Pa. and Lisa Hogarth (Jeff) of Willmette, Ill.; nieces, Brittany, Taylor and Torrie; and nephews, Drew and Mathew.

She was predeceased by her father, Bernard; and father-in-law, Theordore.
