GREENE – Announcement is made of the engagement of Erin Nalepa and John Gianopoulos of Emerald Isle, N.C.

Miss Nalepa is the daughter of Janet Nalepa of Dearborn, Mich. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan and is adjutant in the Combat Logistics Regiment for the U.S. Marine Corps. She is a captain.

Mr. Gianopoulos is the son of Christos and Christine Gianopoulos of Greene. He is a graduate of Leavitt Area High School and Macalester College. He is an infantry company commander, Second Battalion, 5th Marines. He is also a captain.

An Oct. 6 wedding is planned in Ann Arbor, Mich.
