MANCHESTER – Doris A. Webb, 91, of Prescott Road, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, Aug. 26.

She was born in Monmouth on June 29, 1915, the daughter of Frank and Annie (Crowell) Waugh.

She attended Monmouth schools, and had been a homemaker most of her life. Her special interest was her family. She enjoyed traveling to Nova Scotia and visiting her family in Hawaii, California, Nevada and Michigan.

She was active in community affairs. She was past president of the North Manchester Booster Club and had served on the board of the North Manchester Meeting House Church, where she was a member.

She enjoyed knitting and quilting and had made and afghan or quilt for each member of the family. She also enjoyed working in her flower gardens, playing cards and bingo.

She is survived by her nine children, Louise Wood and her husband, James of Sabattus, Bradford Webb of Mount Vernon, Stanley Webb and his wife, Marilyn of Bowdoin, Clyde Webb and his wife, Sylvia of Manchester, Barbara Curtis of Manchester, Walter Webb of Manchester, Susan Maxim and her husband, Bill of Augusta, Marion Tourtelotte and her husband, Jon of Manchester and Charlie Webb and his wife Elaine, also of Manchester; and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was also survived by special friends, Rose Cram of Manchester, Louise Field of Lewiston and her faithful companion and special dog, “Little Bit.”

She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Webb, in 1976; as well as three brothers and three sisters.
