FARMINGTON – The wedding of Susie Anne Conklin and Jeffrey Alan Georgiady was held at 2 p.m. on July 30 at the home of the couple. Bradford Smith, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Georgiady is the daughter of Leontine Igoe of Augusta. Mr. Georgiady is the son of Dr. Nicholas Georgiady and Burnice Georgiady of North Carolina.

The bride, given in marriage by her mother, wore an off-white gown with rust and green colored flowers.

The bride’s sister, Elaine Mahoney, was honor attendant, and the couple’s cat, Piggy, was flower girl.

John Slowe, friend of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man, and ushers were Randy Nobel, friend, and Eric Conklin, son of the bride.

A reception followed at the home of the couple, after which the couple traveled to Chiapis in Mexico and the Maya Ruins. They are residing in Farmington.

The bride is a graduate of Cony High School in Augusta and is a herbalist and jewelry maker.

The bridegroom received a bachelor’s degree and is a professor of archaeology.
