LEWISTON – A surprise party was held recently for John and Georgette Ayotte of Lewiston, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Party hosts were children of the couple, Nancy Girouard and Timothy Ayotte, and the event was held at Marco’s Restaurant in Lewiston. Gold accents were featured and a money tree was displayed. Jordan Girouard had charge of the guest book.
Mr. Ayotte and the former Georgette Roy were married on May 26, 1956. In addition to their two children, their grandchildren are Tony Ayotte, Jon Ayotte, Samantha Ayotte and Jordan Girouard.
Mrs. Ayotte is former owner of Tibie’s in Lewiston, and is currently employed part time at Edward’s Restaurant.
Mr. Ayotte is retired from Seltzer and Rhydholm, and is currently employed at United Wheelchair.
Original wedding attendant present was Willy Ayotte, Mr. Ayotte’s brother.
