JAY – Colby Knapp was credited with the game game-winning goal as Dirigo grabbed a 3-0 triumph over Jay in MVC boys’ soccer action Monday.

Knapp’s first half goal for the Cougars (4-0) was the result of a deflection off a Jay defender and into the goal cage.

Eric Bolduc and Larry Briggs scored to secure the win. Tigers (1-3) goalie Cameron Frye made 22 saves, while Josh Saphier turned away 12 shots for Dirigo.

Hall-Dale 2, Carrabec 1

FARMINGDALE – Oryan Lahti scored the game-winning goal with 10 minutes left to give Hall-Dale a 2-1 win over Carrabec in boys’ soccer action Monday. Jon Frett netted the first Bulldogs (2-1) goal off a direct shot from a cornerkick.

The Cobras (0-3) lone goal was scored unassisted by Jake Goodwin with 30 seconds left in the half to tie the game

Georges Valley 4, Lisbon 0

THOMASTON – Georges Valley scored four unanswered goals en route to a 4-0 win over Lisbon in boys’ soccer Monday afternoon.

Will Guinther scored the only goal in the first half for the Buccaneers (3-1). While the Greyhounds (0-3) came out strong in the second half, they lost two players to injuries, a broken wrist and a concussion, and lost their momentum.
