Bryant Pond – Mary Beryle (Hiltz) Wentworth, 77, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 12, at her home on the Gore Road in Bryant Pond.

She was born in Jay, the daughter of George and Maud Clark Hiltz on Aug. 13, 1929, the youngest of 12 children. She attended school in Jay and graduated from Jay High School in 1946. She attended business school in Auburn and was employed by Huburt Ryan at his law office in Wilton.

She lived with her brother, Raymond and his wife, Ruth in Farmington while working for Huburt Ryan. She married David Wentworth Jr. at the North Chesterville Baptist Church on July 3, 1948. She was an avid gardener and nature lover. She enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, watching old movies and visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Keebler and her husband, Hal, of Alabama; three sons, Brian and his wife, Joanna, of Ohio, Marc and his wife Sherry, of Bryant Pond and Stuart and Brenda of Bryant Pond; one brother, Clyde Hiltz of Caribou; four grandchildren, Jessica Mann, Joel Brooks, Mary Lynn Wentworth and Marcus Wentworth; five stepgrandchildren Ben, Brett, Tabatha, Kasey and Sabrina; two great-grandchildren, Amanda Webb and Kayla Turner; seven stepgreat-grandchildren, Jacob, Abigail, Camden, Alyssa, Camry, Matthias and Connor; many nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends; her extended family, daughter, Tilda Rainey Kennison; three granddaughters, Theresa, Elicia, Felicia; and three great-granddaughters, Raven, Winter and River.

She was predeceased by her parents; seven brothers; three sisters; and in 1979, her son Eric.
