AUBURN – Gerard and Monique Pratt of Auburn recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married on June 29, 1946, at St. Louis Church in Auburn.

The celebration was hosted by their children, Andre and Rachel Pratt, Richard and Monette Valcourt and Monita Ducharme, and was held at the Village Inn in Auburn. A noon luncheon was served, followed by the cutting of the anniversary cake. Also attending was their best man, Jean Robert Maheu.

The former Monique Maheu grew up in Auburn and worked as a seamstress and in the shoe industry. Mr. Pratt of Lewiston, worked in the construction trade as a foreman.

A basket of cards was presented to the couple.

In attendance were grandchildren from Berwick, Scott and Michelle Valcourt and their children, Gregory and Elizabeth; Scott and Tina Dennehy of Brentwood, N.H., and their children, Kaitlyn, Jocelyn and Brayden; granddaughters Tanya Ducharme of Wakefield, Mass. and Deirdre Pratt of Worcester, Mass., and Michael and Stephanie Pratt of Turner and their child, Ava. Also attending were close friends, Fern and Irene Delorme of Auburn, and Danielle Lape of Scarborough.
