SOUTH PARIS – The Maine Women’s Network, a resource for building professional and personal partnerships for women, invites members and the public to its September event, “Please Understand Me: Using the Myers-Briggs Indicator to Communicate More Effectively.”

The meeting will be held at Maurice’s Restaurant in South Paris on Tuesday, Sept. 26, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., with guest speaker Tally Decato.

All Women’s Network members will receive free admission to this event. The cost for non members is $10 and includes refreshments, networking and the featured speaker. To register for the event or for more information about the Maine Women’s Network, visit the group’s Web site at www.wmwn.org.

Myers-Briggs is a tool that enables people to communicate and work together more effectively through understanding individual differences. It is used in business and education for career counseling, team building, conflict resolution and management development.

Participants at the event will fill out a brief questionnaire, score their results and get feedback on how to interpret these results. Decato is a former guidance counselor for SAD 17 and a certified Myers-Briggs consultant.
